Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RN per diem clinicians to cover hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with flexible scheduling and the ability to work as little as one shift per month.

FCN offers competitive per diem pay, daily/weekly pay options, and an easy mobile scheduling system. Ideal candidates hold Virginia RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS credentials, with recent PCU experience.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current
• AHA ACLS Current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
