Job summary
First Choice Nurses is seeking an experienced PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Choose shifts like 7a-7p or 7p-7a to fit your life. Per diem pay is competitive with daily and weekly options, and you can work as little as one shift per month.
Requirements include a Virginia RN license, 2 years of PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and vaccination (or approved exemption). Ready to pick up your next shift and enjoy flexible scheduling with a locally owned staffing partner?
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN License.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS.
- Current AHA ACLS.
- QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
