First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts available are 7a-7p and 7p-7a. You choose the shifts that fit your life and enjoy competitive per diem pay and flexible scheduling.
Active Virginia RN license and a minimum of 2 years PCU nursing experience are required, along with current BLS and ACLS, and a recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test. COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption is also required.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital environments.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain timely electronic medical records and infection-control standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
