Job summary

UC Davis Health in Sacramento is seeking a Part Time Patient Transporter to provide safe and timely patient and visitor transports under the supervision of the Patient Support Services Supervisor.

This role involves assisting with transfers from bed to gurney, supporting Radiology and related services, and training new staff. The position is on-site with a 20% time commitment and a hourly wage of $28.80, with a comprehensive orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent or related experience/training.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor by following standards established for dress and conduct.
• Ability to safely operate wheelchairs, gurneys, electric beds, cribs, and specialty beds.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics and patient transfer techniques, and skill to transport patients without injury to self, patient, or others.
