Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally at 10th grade level.
• On the job training of approximately one month is provided.

Responsibilities

• Displays courtesy and professionalism while serving patients, visitors, physicians and associates.
• Checks food temperatures before and during meal service; monitors quality of product.
• Distributes and collects patient meal trays and nourishments.
• Assists dietitians by obtaining information related to patient acceptance of meals and quality of food service.
• Performs daily inventory and ordering of food and paper supplies and maintains cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Stock assigned areas and set up trays according to written instructions.
• May prepare and deliver special or late trays as directed.
• Returns supplies and food to proper location; cleans and organizes areas.
