Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician for the day shift in Hazleton. The role supports licensed clinicians with direct and indirect patient care, promotes safety, and helps maintain unit operations.

You will collaborate with the interprofessional team, assist with patient rounds, and participate in telehealth activities as needed. A high school diploma and BLS are required; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role and collaborate with interprofessional team.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities to meet patient needs under supervision.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment and assists with maintaining supplies and equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to patient calls promptly.
• May participate in telehealth encounters as needed and support remote care activities.
