Job summary

Main Line Health's Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician to support day, evening, and night shifts (12 hours, 7pm–7am) on a flexible basis. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and related nursing assistant tasks under nurse supervision.

Graduation from high school or equivalent is required; some college preferred. Prior patient services or phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic point-of-care tests.
• Conduct EKGs.
• Support nursing staff with routine patient care tasks.

• Non-Benefits Eligible: Per Diem, 12hr shifts (7pm - 7am), base schedule to include 2 12hr shifts in a 6 week period.

At Main Line Health, our PCT's work on Day, Evening, and Night Shifts. The shifts currently available are based on department needs.

Your care and treatment of these patients is an integral part of the Patient Experience. As a Patient Care Technician, you would be caring for patients by assisting with their daily living activities, taking vital signs, Accu-Cheks, Phlebotomy, EKG's, and other nursing assistant responsibilities.

Experience:

Previous experience in delivery of patient services preferred.

Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Education:

Graduation from high school or equivalent required.

Some college preferred.

Training Commitment:

Mandatory 3-week program (3 weekdays per week)

Licensures & Certifications:

BLS Healthcare Provider preferred on hire / required prior to completion of unit orientation.
