Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a per diem Medical Practice Patient Representative for Gastro NY Rhinebeck, NY. Shifts are variable, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with travel between locations as needed.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, answering calls, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining records in the EMR system. High school diploma required; six months experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).
• Minimum Experience: Six months.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients upon arrival and communicate pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensure accuracy of patient's information including demographics and insurance.
• Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and ensure accurate communication in person and via EMR.
• Register, verify, and schedule patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments per office protocols
• Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile money for deposit.
• Obtain and coordinate record retrieval for patients.
• Handle intake and processing of medical records and related docs.
• Maintain compliance and uphold organizational values.
