Laurel Square Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The OTA will implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote patient independence in a skilled nursing facility.

The role requires a Pennsylvania OTA license, graduation from an accredited program, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience providing occupational therapy in a skilled nursing facility.
• Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Pennsylvania OTA license.
• Requires good organizational and time management skills.
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Implement an individualized treatment plan based on the patient assessment by the OT to restore function and independence.
• Monitor patients' performance in therapy activities and adjust the treatment program to obtain improved progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members to provide input regarding patient needs and establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain positive interactions with patients, families, and caregivers while providing instruction and education in home programs and the use of adaptive equipment.
