Job summary

Laurel Square Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, professional therapy to promote independence and recovery.

Responsibilities include implementing individualized plans, monitoring progress, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and educating patients and families on home programs and adaptive equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing occupational therapy in a skilled nursing facility.
• Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license for the state of Pennsylvania.
• Requires good organizational and time management skills.
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement an individualized treatment plan based on the patient assessment to restore function and independence.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust the program to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish and modify the rehabilitation plan.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, basic living skills, and use of adaptive equipment.
