Job summary

Avir at Montana in El Paso, TX, is seeking a Per Diem / PRN Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with functional and rehabilitation needs, aiming to improve independence and daily living activities.

The OT will work with an interdisciplinary team, document evaluations and treatments, educate patients and families, and provide flexible coverage to meet facility needs while adhering to state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold OT license in Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current CPR certification, if required by facility policy.
• Experience preferred in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or related healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions based on each patient’s diagnosis, condition, and goals.
• Address activities of daily living, strength, coordination, balance, mobility, cognition, and functional performance.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other team members.
