Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking an Occupational Therapist for per diem coverage to assess ADL/IADL deficits and develop patient-centered plans, with goals framed around functional independence and safety.

You will perform evaluations, establish care plans, coordinate with care team, provide education, and participate in discharge planning, documentation, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current State Board licensure to practice OT.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year of occupational therapist experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations by establishing an occupational profile and goals with the patient.
• Establish an individualized plan of care and select interventions.
• Conduct ongoing reassessment of patient progress.
• Initiate and manage discharge planning from first visit through treatment.
• Document clearly within policy and regulatory standards.
• Educate patient and family to meet needs and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
