Job summary

BARBERTON is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support a licensed OT in resident care. You will help deliver therapy services, document care plans, and ensure safety and compliance within the facility.

The role involves collaboration with nursing, therapy, and family members, plus education on home exercise programs and fall prevention. Licensure and CPR may be required per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in inputting data into clinical software such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Must maintain licensure as Occupational Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete accurate documentation compliant with facility and payers.
• Maintain safe treatment environment per infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home exercise programs, and safety.
• Communicate with supervising OT to update physicians and families.
