Sovereign is seeking a Circulating Nurse for per-diem coverage in Somerset, NJ. The role supports the OR team by ensuring sterile conditions, preparing the room, and coordinating patient care before, during, and after surgery.

The ideal candidate holds an NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and OR experience, with strong attention to infection control and teamwork. Per diem schedule offers flexibility and exposure to a busy surgical unit.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license.
• Accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
• BLS certification and ACLS certification are required.
• Experience in operating room environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and ensure safety and comfort during surgery.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique to prevent infection.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team to anticipate intraoperative needs.
• Document nursing care, surgical counts, and intraoperative events accurately.
