Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking an Optometrist to provide specialty patient services under the Medical Director. The role involves documentation, credentialing compliance, and efficient patient care across sites in the San Diego area.

The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited optometry program, hold a California license, and ideally have experience serving underserved populations. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired, with travel between sites occasionally required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of optometry.
• Board certified in area of specialty.
• Current unrestricted California license to practice.
• 1 year experience with underserved populations preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation accurately per EMR requirements.
• Maintains productivity of 2.74 patients per hour.
• Participates in administrative duties such as lab reports and medication refills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
