Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking an Operating Room Technician for per diem days. The role involves preparing sterile supplies and instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting the surgeon with instruments during procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT program completion or on-the-job training with at least 3 years in a surgical setting, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during case.
• Provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience

ORT program graduate or on-the-job training

3 years surgical setting experience preferred

Current BLS (AHA) certification
