Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse (Per Diem Day RN). You'll provide perioperative nursing care, work as circulating or scrub nurse, and collaborate with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to maintain patient safety and efficient case flow.

Active NJ RN license and current BLS are required; BSN and CNOR are preferred. Day shift, per diem, hourly pay range $48.29–$67.04 with pay transparency.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license and current BLS required.
• BSN and CNOR preferred.
• Experience in operating room perioperative care preferred.
• Ability to circulate and scrub as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Support circulating and scrub roles and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Prepare the OR with instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.
• Assist with patient positioning, monitoring, and documentation during surgery.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Contribute to onboarding and mentorship of new staff; support quality improvement.
