Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking reliable caregivers for an on-call role in the Rochester area to augment a growing client base. The position offers about 10 hours per week, with potential for more hours in the future.

Responsibilities include companionship, meals, light housekeeping, errands, and helping maintain comfort and independence at home. Ideal candidates are dependable, personable, and committed to supporting others.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate, patient, and caring.
• Experience providing care in home health, assisted living, or related settings.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide physical assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in client health or needs.
• Coordinate with RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
