Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for per diem coverage to deliver direct and indirect patient care, in person and via telehealth, primarily for adults and older adults. The OT will assess, plan, and implement therapy services, document care, and may supervise support staff where allowed.

Flexibility to work across UCSF Medical Center locations is required to support interdisciplinary teams. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to safety and privacy policies,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of general patient care experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to recognize signs of distress.
• CPR certification required.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and online communication.
• Strong interpersonal, time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in person and via telehealth.
• Assess, plan, and administer a full range of OT services for adults and geriatric patients.
• Document all patient care activities and maintain records.
• Supervise support personnel where permitted by state acts.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
• Perform any duties related to patient care as required.
• Coordinate with the assistant director or director as needed.
