Job summary

Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) per diem in the Bristol area, serving Plainville, Southington, and New Britain. You will provide therapy in diverse settings including nursing homes, clinics, and hospitals, collaborating with a care team to support patient independence.

Requires graduation from an accredited OT program and CT OT license, with a minimum of 2 years in a medical facility and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program with CT OT license.
• Minimum of 2 years OT experience in a medical facility.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
• Good clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks in nursing homes, rehab centers, clinics and hospitals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, CNAs, PTs and SLPs to provide excellent patient care.
• Assist physician in evaluating patient function, deficits, fall risks and adaptive equipment needs.
• Assess patient, establish therapy goals, document progress and modify therapy as needed.
• Educate patients and family on established goals, exercises, safety and self-care.

As an Occupational Therapist, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

A few must-haves for Occupational Therapists:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OT license in CT
• Minimum of 2years of occupational therapy experience in a medical facility
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
