Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, develop personalized therapy plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote recovery and independence. You will monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families to support ongoing care.

Collaboration with physicians and an interdisciplinary team is essential to ensure safe transitions and optimal patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Currently licensed OT (OTR) or eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs; develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery at home.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for seamless transitions.
• Lead by example and support therapy assistants or students.
