Job summary

West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital in Miami, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a per diem placement. You will evaluate patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, and coordinate with physicians to support recovery and return to community activities.

You will delegate therapy services, educate patients and families, and participate in a comprehensive orientation with potential for advancement; part-time roles may lead to full-time opportunities, and 401k eligibility is available

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and designs functional treatment programs for return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with care of the patient and therapy services.
