Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist to cover call-outs and vacancies across two western Massachusetts OB/GYN locations. The role offers independence and meaningful patient care on important days.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm; Locations: 22 Atwood Drive, Northampton and 170 University Drive, Amherst; 0-1 year experience required; ARDMS/ARRT credentials preferred; Onsite work.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic Imaging certificate/diploma or Trade/Technical diploma required.
• Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging preferred.
• 0-1 year ultrasound technologist experience required; 1-2 years preferred.
• Credentials: ARDMS/ARRT Sonography or state license preferred.
• Proficiency with imaging systems and PACS; strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams and produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and clinical history per protocol.
• Prepare and clean equipment and rooms; restock supplies.
• Collaborate with leadership to optimize workflow and scanner usage.
• Support on-call, holiday, and flexible shift coverage as needed.
• Contribute to departmental research, quality assurance, and improvements.
