NYU Langone Health in New York, NY seeks a Per Diem Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the OB/GYN IVF lab. The role covers daily endocrine testing in the NYU Fertility Center Laboratory and ensures timely quality reports for physicians.

Requires a current Medical Technologist license (state/national/local); ASCP or equivalent preferred, with 2+ years of generalist lab experience. Immulite experience and fertility/endocrinology exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current State, National and/or Local Union Medical Technologist License, where applicable.
• ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of clinical laboratory generalist experience preferred.
• Pursuant to CFR 493.1489 (qualifications), each individual performing high complexity testing must have the skills required.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to quality assurance / IOP projects as designated by Lab Director or Supervisor Lab Technologist.
• Performs specimen processing, test performance and reporting of results.
• Determines priority of work to ensure rapid turnaround of test results.
• Maintains data entry in Fertility Database/EMR and performs high or moderate complexity testing as authorized.
• Follows lab procedures for specimen handling, testing, and recordkeeping; documents corrective actions as needed.
• Reviews Policy and Procedure, Safety, and Infection Control manuals; maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Contributes to team effort, flexibility, and continuing education compliance.
