Job summary

IntelliResume in New York, NY, is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, Per Diem, to assess learning needs, design and deliver educational activities, and maintain clinical expertise within the nursing teams at NYU Langone Hospitals.

The role requires a Master's degree in nursing education, 3–5 years of clinical experience, and active New York RN licensure with BLS; Nursing Education certification is required upon eligibility. Per diem, day shift.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing education is required.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience in a specialty area or leadership role as a staff nurse.
• Current NY Registered Professional Nurse licensure, BLS, and Nursing Education certification upon eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze learning needs for nursing staff throughout the Departments of Nursing.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities that support nursing care.
• Participate in development and implementation of nursing and patient care standards.
• Maintain clinical expertise in a specialty area.
• Foster collaborative relationships within the Departments of Nursing and other disciplines.
• Evaluate performance and assess practice of designated personnel.
• Serve as a role model and resource for staff.
• Ensure education programs are executed according to established processes and guidelines.
• Collaborate with patient care unit leadership to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and address learning needs of nursing staff in assigned clinical areas.
