Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in nursing with at least three years of clinical practice, plus leadership experience. NYS RN licensure, BLS, and nursing leadership certification are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• At least three years of pertinent clinical practice.
• Preferred 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current NYS RN licensure.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Nursing leadership certification required.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture aligned with NYU’s tripartite mission: care, teach, discover.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure quality and patient experience.
• Develop positive relationships across disciplines to achieve shared goals.
• Support diverse, inclusive work environments and staff development.
• Participate in interviews and coordinate onboarding and evaluations of staff.
• Serve as liaison between on-premises leadership and administration during off-hours.
• Report sentinel events and contribute to risk management processes.
• Communicate updates to incoming nurse administrators and hospital leadership.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
