Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Companion for per diem night shifts. You will be at the bedside providing comfort, assist with routine tasks under RN supervision, and help with transporting patients.

Ideal candidates are BSN students or graduates with at least one clinical rotation, CPR certification, and the ability to work one shift per week. On-site role, commuting distance required, compensation starting at $23.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a BSN program with an expected graduation of December 2027 or later and completed at least one clinical rotation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR training from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort and caring as Nursing Companion under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily hygiene, bed making and safety precautions.
• Prepare patients for mealtime and assist with transport; report concerns to the care team.
• Build rapport with patients and families; communicate observations to RNs while maintaining privacy.

Assist with routine tasks including daily hygiene, bed making, and safety precautions. Build strong rapport with patients and families, and communicate your observations with RNs while maintaining patient privacy at all times. Infuse energy and hospitality into each patient's day. Prepare patients for mealtime, assist with transport, and report any patient concerns to your partners on the care-giving team.
