Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of Optum, is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to join the Behavioral Health team in Worcester, MA as an Integrated Substance Use Provider. This position blends telemedicine and on-site care, with a focus on evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders.

The role requires MA APRN license, NP board certification, DEA/X-Waiver, and 1–3 years of postgrad SUD experience; remote work and on-call duties are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts APRN license.
• Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Federal DEA, X-Waiver and Massachusetts MCSR Certificate required or in process.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of postgraduate experience treating patients with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assessments and treatment for patients with substance use disorders.
• Takes detailed history and performs exams related to SUD.
• Orders labs and assesses severity to determine need for evaluation.
• Develops evidence-based plans including medication management and referrals.
• Collaborates with BH and primary care teams and documents precisely.
