Job summary

Recovery Centers of America in Danvers, MA is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team serving patients in substance use treatment. This per diem role focuses on history, physical exams, detox management, and medication decisions within standing orders and protocols.

You’ll document care in EMR, participate in rounds with medical staff, and collaborate with behavioral health while psychiatry is managed by a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Active licensure in Massachusetts as an FNP or AGNP.
• Minimum of 2 years medical experience including histories and physicals.
• Experience with detox, addiction medicine, or inpatient medical care preferred.
• PMHNPs not to apply unless dual-certified.
• Strong clinical decision-making and independent documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical exams.
• Manage detox protocols and monitor withdrawal complications.
• Prescribe and manage medications related to withdrawal and other conditions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds addressing medical issues in treatment.
• Document care accurately in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with behavioral health staff while psychiatry is handled by the psychiatry team.
