Job summary

UNC Health Care in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Per Diem Security Officer to protect persons and property, enforce safety regulations, and support emergency responses. You will gather information, write reports, monitor cameras, and serve in specialized unit assignments to uphold hospital security policies.

Qualifications

CPR certification required before completion of 12 months of employment.
Must be proficient in oral and written communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Communications via two-way radio, computer, email, telephone and verbal communications with staff, visitors and patients.
Emergency response including patient custody issues, escorting patients and arranging transportation as needed.
Fixed post duties in Emergency Department and night entrance, screen access and control of postings.
Investigations and incident report writing with narrative into records management system.
Patrols: logs, escort duties, access control, morgue handling and incident documentation.
Traffic control: parking surveys, enforce regulations, issue citations when required.
