Job summary

ScionHealth operates in Aurora as a private room long-term acute care facility known for wound care, pulmonary outcomes, and ventilator management. This RN position offers direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process, with collaboration across physicians and the care team to support extended recovery.

You will plan and execute nursing care, document thoroughly, and participate in discharge planning while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure in state of practice (or as required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required; ACLS preferred upon hire.
• Minimum six months Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans in coordination with the team.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Administer medications correctly and document promptly.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
