Job summary

UNC Health Rex in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Neonatologist for per diem coverage in a Level III NICU. The role involves providing comprehensive neonatal care, evaluating critically ill newborns, and attending high-risk deliveries.

You will collaborate with obstetric, pediatric, nursing, and subspecialty teams and supervise NNPS delivering 24/7 coverage across UNC Health facilities. Applicants should hold an MD/DO with a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship, be board certified or eligible, have

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Current North Carolina medical license.
• Current NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care within the NICU setting.
• Evaluate and manage critically ill and premature newborns.
• Attend high-risk deliveries as indicated.
• Collaborate closely with obstetric, pediatric, nursing, and subspecialty teams.
• Supervise and collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners providing 24/7 coverage at UNC Health Rex, UNC Health Holly Springs, and UNC Health Johnston.
