UNC Health Neonatology in Raleigh, NC is seeking a per diem Neonatologist to support a Level III NICU with 24/7 coverage across UNC Health Rex, Holly Springs, and Johnston campuses. The role collaborates with obstetric, pediatric, nursing, and subspecialty teams to provide comprehensive neonatal care.

The ideal candidate has an MD/DO, completed Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship, and holds or is eligible for NC licensure with NRP certification.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Current North Carolina medical license
Current NRP certification

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive neonatal care within the NICU setting
Evaluate and manage critically ill and premature newborns
Attend high-risk deliveries as indicated
Collaborate closely with obstetric, pediatric, nursing, and subspecialty teams
Supervise and collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners providing 24/7 coverage at UNC Health Rex, UNC Health Holly Springs, and UNC Health Johnston
Participate in family-centered care, patient education, and care coordination
