Job summary

Atria Health and Research Institute in New York is seeking a skilled MRI technologist to perform a range of imaging procedures with minimal supervision for patients of all ages. You will position patients accurately and maintain documentation to meet protocol requirements.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT MRI certification and NY DOH registration, with injection certification preferred; weekend availability may be required to ensure coverage and QC adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient and registered/certified in MRI ARRT.
• High school diploma plus a degree from a 2 year AMA approved Radiology school.
• NY State DOH Registration as Radiologic Technologist.
• NYS DOH Certification for Injection preferred.
• Independent MRI procedures performed per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on members/patients of all age groups.
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol, ensuring proper documentation.
• Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI Equipment, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
• Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.
• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and Members.
• Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately
• Review schedule for any gaps in coverage
