Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital in the San Gabriel Valley is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for its MRI department on a per diem, 8-hour variable shift. The role reports to the Director/Supervisor of Radiology and involves delivering high-quality imaging services to support accurate diagnoses.

The ideal candidate will hold CRT/ARRT-MRI or ARMRIT/MRI certification and have BLS certification from the American Heart Association, with at least one year of MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CRT, ARRT-MRI, or ARMRIT/MRI Certification required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images under the Radiologist’s supervision.
• Explain procedures to patients, provide comfort, position and immobilize patients on the exam table.
• Set scan parameters, monitor video display, and adjust density/contrast to improve image quality.
• Review and evaluate images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Apply safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
