Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiography program.
• ARRT MR certification in good standing.
• California State License (CRT).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required.
• Commitment to extended hours or emergency shifts as needed to maintain coverage.
• Continuing education requirements: 24 ECE credits over a two-year period.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations and document accordingly.
• Assume responsibilities for designated MRI areas, producing high-quality images and reviewing exams.
• Troubleshoot departmental technical issues per guidelines.
• Apply ALARA principles for all patients and members.
• Complete QC sheets accurately and review schedule for gaps in coverage.

• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol, ensuring proper documentation.
• Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI Equipment , producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
• Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.
• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and Members.
• Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately
• Review schedule for any gaps in coverage

Compensation

• $80-100/hr

Requirements

• Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems required
• 5-10 years of MRI experience, previous supervisory experience preferred
• Must be a graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
• Certification: ARRT (MR) Certified and in good standing.
• California State License (CRT).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required.
• Commitment: Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage.
• (ARRT). Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth.
• IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-months’ orientation.
• MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly.

Preferred Qualification

MRSO/ MRSE certification from American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety
