Job summary

Englewood Health, a leading healthcare system in northern New Jersey, seeks a Microbiology Laboratory professional for per-diem daytime shifts in Englewood, NJ. The role focuses on routine and specialized testing (CLIA) across Serology, Parasitology, Bacteriology, and related areas.

Responsibilities include specimen analysis, QC, instrument maintenance, and communication with physicians and nursing staff. Department: Laboratory - Microbiology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required.
• 0-2 years of experience in the Laboratory.
• Proficient in the Microbiology area of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Performs, records, and reports specimen analysis in one section of the laboratory.
• Operates complex laboratory equipment and performs troubleshooting.
• Assesses test accuracy and communicates results to physicians and staff.
• Maintains quality control and participates in proficiency testing.
• Supports teaching and supervision of students and junior staff.
