Job summary

Athol-Hospital is seeking a General rotating MLS/MLT to support all clinical laboratory areas. This per diem role involves independent testing, quality control, specimen collection assistance, and collaboration with supervisors to ensure accurate patient results.

The ideal candidate will have an MLS/MLT background, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science with clinical training in medical technology or equivalent required.
• MLS/MT certification preferred or eligible.
• ASCP/AAB/HEW/AMT registration preferred.
• Experience in a hospital/clinical lab setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide array of laboratory procedures in all departments with independence.
• Assist with specimen collection procedures and quality control.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate critical results promptly.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and HIPAA requirements.
• Provide education and orientation to new staff and students as assigned.
