Job summary

Willapa Harbor Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to plan, perform, evaluate, and report CLIA'88 waived testing. The role covers preanalytic, analytic, and postanalytic tasks, plus quality control and inventory management.

You will perform blood draws and maintain communications with health care providers, patients, and other hospital personnel. Certification and computer skills are required, with duties assigned per union contract guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• WA State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification is required.
• Computer experience is required.
• Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, evaluate, and report CLIA'88 waived testing.
• Include preanalytical, analytical and post-analytical functions.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Monitor supply inventory and perform blood draws.
• Maintain communication with health care providers, patients and hospital staff.
