Kansas Health System in Great Bend is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the Great Bend Hospital. The role involves performing chemistry, hematology, coagulation and urinalysis tests, collecting specimens, and maintaining quality control to ensure CLIA compliance.

Responsibilities include proper patient identification, specimen handling, test analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with healthcare teams while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety procedures.

Competenze

• Associates degree in clinical lab science or technology is required.
• Licensure/certification including BLS (AHA) and MLT certification by a recognized board.
• Experience with quality control, sample handling, and lab safety is expected.

Mansioni

• Verify patient identification and collect specimens with proper labeling.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen transport with appropriate aseptic technique.
• Conduct test analyses and ensure timely reporting of STAT and routine results.
• Maintain accuracy of pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes and comply with QA/QC policies.
• Order entry and inventory management to support the lab workflow.
