Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for per diem, onsite in Northampton, MA. The role conducts a broad range of clinical laboratory tests across microbiology, serology, urinalysis, hematology, chemistry and blood bank, using approved instrumentation under CAP guidelines.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and MLT(ASCP) certification; six months to one year experience preferred; day shift; per diem schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Certification as MLT (ASCP) or eligibility required.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of MLT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and monitor a broad range of clinical laboratory tests.
• Operate instrumentation and perform quality control per CAP guidelines.
• Prepare specimens, report results, and maintain QA documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other lab personnel.
