Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current certification or willingness to obtain CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Experience in outpatient clinics preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment function.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures following protocols.
• Perform basic tasks like point-of-care testing, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Document patient information accurately in EMR and maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate rooming and patient flow with staff and providers.
• Provide patient education and follow-up guidance as directed.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
