Job summary

US Fertility invites a Medical Assistant to join the Shady Grove Fertility team in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, with float coverage to Beaumont, Clear Lake, Memorial City, Katy, and Spring Woodlands, TX. Per Diem schedule, growth opportunities within a nationally respected organization, and a role that keeps you closely connected to patients and teams you support daily.

You will perform phlebotomy, assist with procedures, take vital signs, and provide compassionate patient

Qualifications

Formal MA program completed
Background in women's health preferred
Strong patient orientation and teamwork
Professionalism and customer service skills

Responsibilities

Perform a high volume of phlebotomy
Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedures
Assist with HSGs as needed
Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicate physician orders and instructions
Provide pre- and post-operative education
Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families
Work independently to ensure program goals are achieved
Support and promote excellence in customer service
