Job summary

US Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team at Shady Grove Fertility in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. The per diem role supports multiple clinics across TX and requires a formal MA program completion with strong patient care skills.

You will perform phlebotomy, assist physicians and ultrasound staff, manage lab specimens, document care, and provide compassionate support to patients and families. This role offers growth within a nationally respected fertility network.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal MA program.
• Background in women’s health preferred.
• Strong patient orientation and be a team player.
• Professionalism and strong customer service skills is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records.
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels.
• Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedure.
• Assist with HSGs as needed.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Assists with the clinical care of fertility patients.
• Provides patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions.
• Provides pre and post op education.
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families.
• Works independently to assure the program goals are achieved.
• Support and promote excellence in customer service.
