Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Unit in Putnam, CT. You will provide emergent, supportive, and restorative care using the nursing process and adapt to age-specific patient needs.

Requirements include CT RN licensure, an accredited nursing program graduate, CPR certification, and NVICIT training within 3 months. Per Diem status offers flexible scheduling and participation in differential pay structures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification, or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT certification, or within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural and discharge needs.
• Communicate effectively with documentation accuracy.
• Demonstrate technical skill and knowledge of patient care equipment.
• Evaluate and adjust the care plan as needed.
• Develop and implement a patient-specific care plan.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene.
