Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Unit in Putnam, CT. You will diagnose responses to health problems and deliver basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care using the nursing process.

Ideal candidates will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed in Connecticut, and hold CPR and NVCIT certifications. Per diem differential and standard shift differential are provided, along with benefits such as sick time and retirement

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold CT RN license.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire; NVCIT certification within 3 months.
• Per diem RN experience preferred, oncology or medical-surgical exposure helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, discharge planning.
• Document clearly and completely; communicate effectively with the team.
• Operate care equipment safely and monitor patient status regularly.
• Evaluate and adjust plan of care; respond to life‑threatening situations.
