Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Per-diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU/Telemetry team. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to impact patient care within a trusted community hospital.

The RN must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold CT licensure, with CPR certification received within 3 months of hire and NVCIT training completed within 3 months. 32 hours per month minimum are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs according to age and developmental level.
• Demonstrate accurate documentation and effective oral and written communication.
• Operate patient care equipment and procedures with technical skill and knowledge.
• Evaluate the plan of care and adjust goals as necessary.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene appropriately.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary

As the Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the use of our nursing process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities

• According to age and developmental level of the patient, systematically assesses the patient's physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills to include completeness and accuracy of documentation.
