Job summary

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-R Certification required within six months of employment.
• Must obtain NYS licensure within six months of employment.
• ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with various software applications.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.
• Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures.
• Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards.
• Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality.
• Performs daily and periodic Mammography QA activities under the direct supervision of the Mammo QA technologist.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
