United Helpers is seeking per-diem maintenance workers to cover senior/disabled housing complexes in Jefferson County. Hours vary weekly and assignments may include Evans Mills, Carthage, Sacketts Harbor, Chaumont, or Alexandria Bay.

Responsibilities include lawn care, snow removal, cleaning, light electrical/plumbing repairs, painting, and preparing apartments for new tenants. A NY driver’s license is required. United Helpers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

• Experience in general maintenance for residential properties.
• Ability to perform light to moderate lifting.
• Valid New York State driver’s license required.

We are seeking per-diem maintenance workers to provide coverage at our senior/disabled housing complexes in Jefferson County. These positions may include work in Evans Mills, Carthage, Sacketts Harbor, Chaumont, or Alexandria Bay. The number of hours each week will vary based on our needs at that time.

Responsibilities will include general maintenance duties including: Lawn care, snow removal, cleaning, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, and preparing apartments for new tenants. Light to moderate lifting is required, as is daily interaction with residents.

Other duties may include apartment inspections, and following up with hired contractors to ensure adequacy of services such as trash removal, exterminating and other work.

Salary for this position ranges from $18.35 to $20.19 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

A valid New York State driver's license is required.
