Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses at LVN I, II, and III levels. The selected candidates will be placed based on experience, with responsibilities across nursing care under supervision and increasing duties at higher levels.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.
• Current and valid Texas LVN license.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.
• 6+ months in a clinical area or completion of a KSC LVN Residency program.
• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for the assigned clinical area. Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator.
• Apply clinical nursing knowledge and demonstrated skills to ensure safety and comfort of patients and families.
• Identify priorities and make judgments concerning the basic needs of multiple patients to organize care.
